Development Sites

Tree assessments and reports are often required as part of a town planning application for property development.

Having worked in local government Town Planning departments, Greenscape Tree Consulting has extensive knowledge of town planning processes, procedures and regulations (planning and local law).  This knowledge allows us to satisfy the requirements of council whilst minimising delays and further work for our clients.

We have experience with development sites from 1 tree to hundreds of trees and have the latest GPS and GIS technology to map tree locations and provide tree data.

We can provide services on tree selection to ensure compliance with council’s requirements to project and contract specifications.

Pre-construction (Tree Survey) – We can provide a report that evaluates trees on and adjoining your property, identifying trees for retention or removal and include tree protection zone (TPZ) and structural root zone (SRZ) details to allow your builder or architect to develop the site accordingly.

Pre-construction (Construction Impact Assessment) – Following a tree survey and once plans have been drawn up.  Our reports will include recommendations for tree protection methods during construction and can include tree advice to achieve a desired landscape outcome and to conform to council’s requirements and permit conditions.

Construction – We can provide supervision of construction activities and liaise with council’s planning and building departments during development process ensuring your trees are properly managed.

Post-construction – We can provide post construction tree management services.

Our advice and reports are practical and evidence based to assist you to reach achievable and realistic outcomes.

All reports are compliant with AS4970-2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites.
